Krazy

The Vancouver Art Gallery is always a great place to go to on a Sunday. My visit this time featured animation, cartoons, and gaming. For me the highlight of this exhibit is the Japanese Anime segment that features the popular Japanese Anime productions.
If you're not an avid fan of animation, there is the Emily Carr and Modern Women Artist exhibit on the top floor of the gallery. It features art work done by Canadian women during the 1800's when most of the art world was dominated by males. Women were expected to fulfill their roles in the house. Nevertheless, this display reveals the hidden talent of female artists such as Emily Carr within the art industry during this time period.
After viewing these exhibits, I visit to the Art Gallery gift shop is a must. I was amazed at the number of different gift items being sold there. Anyone looking to impress someone in their life that seems to have everything should check out this gift shop. There are some very unique and interesting souvenirs inside their small and cozy gift shop.

Stanley Park

This weekend I managed to get out and visit some of the most exciting and unique tourist attractions in Vancouver. The Horse Drawn Stanley Park Tours are a must for everybody. My tour guide was just wonderful. She took the time to explain each section of the park to her group. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable ride because the trees in the park form the perfect shade for a hot, summer day.

Rocky Mountains

After coming back from a trip to see the Rocky Mountains, I've come back with a greater appreciation for the beautiful landscape we have in Canada. Most importantly, I have a better understanding of the history behind the making of the spiral tunnels and communities such as Kamloops.
